Bat/Bar-Mitzvah
A child's Bar or Bat Mitzvah is not only an important rite of passage, but also a celebration of faith to share with family and friends. After all the hard work, the planning, the studying, and the preparations, it will be a day filled with laughter, tears, and even the occasional oops!
All of these memories pass so quickly. That's why photography is so important to help make this a day you will always remember.
When Geraldine added Bar Mitzvah and Wedding photography to her resume, work that she expected would offer little opportunity for creativity turned out to be just the opposite.
“I get to do what I love to do,” She says. “Bar Mitzvahs fit perfectly with my personality and my photographic approach, and I especially enjoy being with people on a day in their lives when they’re incredibly happy.”
Geraldine's candid style, marked by dynamic composition and a photojournalist's eye, is the result of over 20 years as a professional photographer. Geraldine began photographing Bar Mitzvahs and weddings 15 years ago. “All my work has been concerned with real people and real locations,” She says, “and Bar Mitzvahs and weddings are frankly much more satisfying than Fashion Photography.”
